This song was originally preformed by the Misfits in that late 90’s, but was written by Michale Graves who was fronting the band at the time. Rumor has it this song is about his mother who died when he was a boy and was written when he was only 14. “Dig Up Her Bones” is a song about memories because much like bones they are all that’s left when a person dies. They are what remain with us and not even death can take them.
